Welcome to this episode of our interview series “Les Emballés”! We introduce to you our clients, partners and much more !
Today, we are pleased to introduce Open Box. Founded in 2007, FHU Open Box is a well-established supplier of fruit and vegetable packaging, based in central Poland near Łódź. The company is known for its reliability and commitment to providing high-quality products sourced exclusively from renowned European and domestic manufacturers at competitive prices. For the past 15 years, they have been offering Naturalvi products, recognizing their quality and value. Today, we are interviewing FHU Open Box to understand why they chose Naturalvi and how this partnership has evolved over the years.
Naturalvi: Hello. Since when have you known Naturalvi, and what convinced you to collaborate with us?
OPEN BOX : We first met Naturalvi at the Fruit Logistica 2010 trade show in Berlin. We were interested in your products because they were innovative and fit our portfolio.
N : What were your expectations regarding sustainable packaging before working with Naturalvi? Do our products meet these expectations?
O.B : Open Box’s philosophy has always been to introduce innovative packaging products and show our customers new possibilities. Your product was basically non-existent in retail chains in Poland at that time, and in our opinion it was very interesting and promising.
N: In your opinion, what are the main qualities of Naturalvi’s paper trays compared to other packaging solutions?
O.B : The aesthetic appearance ; it creates the opportunity to promote your own brand because it is customizable, and most of all : biodegradable !
N: What feedback have you received from your customers after introducing Naturalvi packaging to the Polish market?
O.B : As for the product itself, its quality and functionality have never been negatively commented on ! It has always met customer expectations.
N: What gives you confidence in continuing to offer our packaging solutions to your customers?
O.B : Poland is systematically catching up with old Europe in macroeconomic indicators. Prices in stores are slowly balancing. Poles’ incomes are growing. The macroeconomic situation will make premium products have a larger share of the market.
N: How do you see the evolution of our collaboration in the coming years?
O.B : Rather positive, although it depends mainly on all of us. Unfortunately, the Polish market is difficult. The price is decisive. The behavior of our retail chains in Poland is also special. After a period of growth in the packaging market in the fruit and vegetable category, we are seeing declines.
N: In your opinion, what role will sustainable packaging solutions like Naturalvi’s play in the future of the fruit and vegetable market?
T: It depends on how far the eco-revolution goes. Now we are eliminating plastic, and in… 10 years maybe the demand for sustainable packaging like Naturalvi paper will be more and more important in the future.
A big thank you again to Open Box for the answers to our questions ! See you soon for the next episode of “Les Emballés.”
The Naturalvi Team.
